User-Defined Fields

Several user-defined fields are available when trading partners require additional information that is not supported by standard MAC-PAC processing.  These fields do not appear on any MAC-PAC screens or reports, and there is no validation performed on them.  They do, however, allow information from inbound transactions to be automatically passed through the system and formatted on outbound transactions.  The names and descriptions of these fields are available in the Electronic Data Interchange Program Documentation.

While these fields are not part of standard MAC-PAC processing, they can be defined on any Sales Order Maintenance or Sales Order Inquiry user-defined windows with standard or user-defined action codes.  For more information on setting up windows and action codes, see the Windows Processing section of the Technical Support Manual.
